Sectional Garage Doors also know as Panel Lift Garage Doors , are the best looking and most durable in the domestic garage door range. The panel itself compared to other types of doors is very thick, usually 0.6mm thick as opposed to a roller door at around 0.4mm. This doesn’t sound like much but the difference is massive. A sectional garage door can span a very wide distance while still maintaining its strength and integrity.
Residential sectional garage doors come generally in 3 different styles.
– There is what’s known as the Silvian
A horizontal timber slated looking door. The profile has been around as long as the other styles, but has not dated like the other two designs have. This means that it is never going to date. this design goes with any house, weather it’s a rendered modern house or a weather board Queenslander or even a brick and mortar, this door will go on any house and make it look fantastic.
-The second sectional door is called The Georgian
This rectangular design suites the older style heritage houses. The embossed pattern is around 1m wide and around 400 to high. A durable and long lasting door
The third one is called The Regency
The Regency sectional garage door is virtually the same as the Georgian only the embossed panels are about half the width but same height. These look great on a older style house that have two single garage door openings. they complement the contemporary style of your house.
